Position: Process Development Engineering Manager

Location: Hamden, CT

We are currently seeking a Process Development Engineering Manager to join our team to lead process innovation in research, development, implementation, and sustaining phases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated person with strong technical leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage and lead process design and development engineering activities in a customer focused, 'make it happen' environment.

  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team responsible for entire process development cycle with effective tracking and reporting of status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure completion of engineering deliverables such as prototypes, process capability studies, process qualification documentation, equipment assessments, process roadmaps, and critical timelines and status
  • Own process validation, providing a complete package of evidence that the process is able to produce product which meets all customer requirements
    • Supports global manufacturing sites in localization and qualification of processes
  • Work closely with NPI and manufacturing engineering to ensure transition of products to manufacturing.
    • Makes sure production is ready for the product
  • Select, develop and coach individuals and build a highly motivated and high performing global team.
  • Find a way to get things done and build the team
  • ~ 10% travel, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university with 4+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred
  • Demonstrated technical leadership ability in the wire and cable industry
  • Demonstrated engineering management ability
  • Advanced technical degree or MBA highly recommended
  • Must be highly literate with Office software; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and proactively identify, review, discuss, and resolve problems.
