Automation Design Engineer

Location: Valley Green, PA (Harrisburg area)

This position is not eligible for Relocation or Visa sponsorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Automation Design Engineer will support the Valley Green facility.

Analyzes product to develop tools or machine to meet specifications and performance requirements.
Determines feasibility of tool concepts considering, costs, floor space, time limitations, quote parameters and other technical and economic factors.
Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or process techniques.
Confers with shop personnel to clarify or resolve problems and help develop designs.
Prepares or directs preparation of tool and system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics.
Complies and analyzes operational test and research data to establish performance standards for equipment.
Responsible for design and documentation of tooling AIS standards and mentoring design and drafts on proper methodology and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanics Engineering or equivalent; 3+ years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid knowledge of machine automation preferably in the connector industry.
Solid knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques used in fabricating tooling.
Knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology is an asset.
Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical reasoning and problem solving.
