About the Role
Amphenol Ardent Concepts is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to lead commercial growth across the Eastern United States. This position will be responsible for several of the company's largest and most strategically important customer relationships while developing new accounts, applications, and design-in opportunities throughout the region.
The Territory Sales Manager will own relationships with key strategic customers and lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through technical development, commercial negotiation, and production. The role requires an ability to develop strong relationships across engineering, procurement, program management, and executive organizations while coordinating internal resources to support customer requirements.
This individual will work closely with Applications Engineering, Customer Relations, Product Development, Marketing, and sales leadership to develop solutions for demanding applications across semiconductor, datacenter/AI, quantum computing, aerospace and defense, and test & measurement markets.
The successful candidate will combine strong relationship management with technical curiosity, commercial judgment, and a demonstrated ability to grow complex B2B accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic customers and major accounts throughout the Eastern U.S. territory.
- Develop and execute account and territory growth strategies focused on both existing business and new design-in opportunities.
- Build strong relationships across customer engineering, procurement, program management, operations, and executive organizations.
- Identify new programs, applications, platforms, and customer requirements where Ardent's technology can provide value.
- Lead complex technical sales opportunities from discovery and qualification through quotation, negotiation, design-in, and production.
- Develop commercial strategies for major RFQs and opportunities, including pricing, negotiation, competitive positioning, and long-term account development.
- Coordinate Applications Engineering, Product Development, Operations, Customer Relations, and other internal resources to support customer opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer programs, technology roadmaps, organizational structures, competitive activity, and future requirements.
- Develop new strategic accounts and expand Ardent's presence within existing customers.
- Manage and develop relationships with manufacturer representatives and other channel partners within the territory.
- Maintain accurate account, opportunity, pipeline, and forecasting information in Salesforce.
- Provide reliable bookings forecasts and communicate significant opportunities, risks, and customer developments to sales leadership.
- Represent Ardent through customer visits, technical meetings, trade shows, industry events, and other business-development activities.
- Partner with Sales Engineering and other commercial team members when additional resources can accelerate an opportunity or improve the customer experience.
- Provide market and customer feedback to Product Development and Marketing to help guide future products and commercial strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, strategic account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience selling engineered products or solutions into technically demanding markets.
- Experience with RF/microwave, electrical interconnect, semiconductor test, electronic components, instrumentation, aerospace/defense, or related technologies is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage significant customer relationships and complex sales cycles.
- Strong commercial judgment, including experience with pricing, negotiation, forecasting, and account strategy.
- Ability to understand technical customer requirements and effectively coordinate engineering resources.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the territory and to other customer locations as required.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform preferred.
