Location: Santa Clara, CA

Amphenol High Speed and Commercial Products Groups are the market leaders for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom and Diverse market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our West Coast Sales team in Santa Clara, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Account Manager is the voice of the customer into the organization as well as the voice of Amphenol out to the customer. This highly visible role will have responsibility for one of the largest OEM customers within the High Speed Products Group. The position requires excellent communication skills but also has a substantial focus on financial and market data. 

  • Support sales on any subject related to technical-, commercial-, escalation-requests addressed by the customer 
  • Preparing monthly forecasts for the accounts
  • Customer forecast analysis
  • Coordinating customer activities, including resolution of delivery, quality, inventory, and financial issues in an international environment
  • Manage Fulfillment Escalations for Customer (Expediting/Shortage Escalations)
  • Support resolving customer complaints, quality issues and RMA' in a satisfactory manner, help to coordinate actions in case of escalation process 
  • Respond to customer and CM enquiries – quotes, simple technical and commercial questions (e.g. datasheets)
  • Chase orders for business awarded. Tracking actual customer booking and ensure award is met/exceeded.
  • Coordinating and submission of PCN's. Track until PCN is closed.
  • Liaise with customers and sales to grow business with key customers 
  • Coordinate RfQ's with BU's and respond to customer. Follow up of quotes.

A successful candidate will be skilled at working with a high level of detail and will be able to manage multiple tasks for customers in a time sensitive environment. They will also make presentations to top management; organizational skills and summarizing conclusions via data analysis is an important part of the position. To do so requires a strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to communicate effectively.  Some travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple functions internally and externally
  • Strong oral and written communications to provide high level customer service and build relationships
  • Detail-oriented with keen business acumen
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment to meet team goals and customer deadlines is essential.   
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a short time period and be flexible from time to time to meet changing and more demanding customer requirements. . 
  • Must be able to work using their own initiative and to take ownership for co-coordinating tasks/resolutions and seeing it through execution. 
  • Advanced PC Skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, working ability with V-lookups, Pivot Tables, and other more advanced excel skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Customer Service, Planning, or Finance

The base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $105,00 annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role.
